The community for building a strong and thriving library district.
#PPLWU The next PPLWU meeting is: Actually a social!! Sunday, December 7th at 5PM. We will be at IBEW 113 Hall (2150 Naegle Road). It is a potluck, so sign up here to bring something!

We want to work with PPLD to foster a workplace focused on providing opportunity, voice, and well-being among our staff and the community we serve.
A strong and thriving public library district comes from a secure and sustainable workforce.

- Safety- All workers deserve a healthy, hazard-free environment in which they do not feel threatened.
- Sustainability- Staff should have access to the benefits, wages, and opportunity necessary to be able to meet the cost of living and avoid burnout.
- Democracy- Employees should have a greater say in operational and organizational changes made by the library.
- Connection- We believe in proactive communication between branches, and open communication between leadership and staff to help foster a sense of unity.
- Fairness- We believe employees need to be treated fairly and represent the community we serve.
Public Demands
We deserve a job worth keeping.
